WHY BACTERIA IN WATER CAN BE A PROBLEM – AND HOW TO FILTER THEM
Drinking water is usually well monitored. Still, bacterial water contamination can occur – for example, if pipes haven’t been flushed in a while or due to micro-cracks and leaks in the system.
Legionella in water is a particular concern: if your water is contaminated, it's possible to inhale these bacteria while showering, which may cause a respiratory illness.
This is where Ecosoft’s water filters bacteria come in: they remove bacteria from your drinking water – along with viruses, cysts and parasites – without any chemical additives. This means you can protect your health in a natural and effective way.

WHO SHOULD INSTALL A LEGIONELLA FILTER?
While bacteria in drinking water can pose a health risk to anybody, young children, seniors, and people with pre-existing health conditions would profit the most from the additional protection a legionella filter offers.
When water stagntes in pipes, for example in holiday homes or a property that was unoccupied for a while, it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. With a legionella filter from Ecosoft, you’re on the safe side and can enjoy germ-free water straight from the tap.

CROSS 90 reduced the Sum of PFAS-20 concentration from 23 ng/L to <2 ng/L. (For reference, the EU Drinking Water Directive sets a limit of 100 ng/L for the Sum of PFAS-20 — a parameter representing the total concentration of 20 individual PFAS compounds. It is the main parameter used to assess PFAS levels in drinking water)

What are the most common bacteria in drinking water?
Typical culprits include E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, and of course Legionella. These bacteria can enter the system through damaged pipes or stagnant water and may cause health issues.
