Technical information
The RObust Mini direct flow reverse osmosis filter is designed for cold water purification only.
Pressure monitoring
There are no pressure gauges in the RObust Mini product; they need to be installed additionally to check the pressure in the system.
Pre-filtration cartridges
Replace pre-filters after 8,000 liters of water filtration or at least every 3 months.
- If the pressure after the pre-filters drops below 1 bar, the cartridges may be clogged.
- Delaying replacement may damage or reduce the lifespan of the membrane.
Reverse osmosis membrane
With a significant drop in system performance, replacement of reverse osmosis membranes is required. Replace after filtering 24,000 liters or at least once per year if filtration speed decreases.
Post-filtration cartridge
Replace if taste deteriorates or odor appears, after 8,000 liters or at least every 3 months.
Downtime maintenance
If unused for over 2 weeks, disinfect before resuming use (procedure in the user manual).

FAQ
-
What is the Ecosoft Robust Mini direct flow reverse osmosis system?
The Ecosoft RObust Mini is a direct-flow reverse osmosis filter for cafés, petrol stations, offices, schools, and stores. It has a flow capacity of 55–60 L/h and water consumption of 110–125 L/h. Filtration stages include a 5 micron sediment filter, GAC carbon filter, 3 reverse osmosis membranes, and CTO carbon post-filter.
-
What contaminants does the Ecosoft Robust Mini remove from water?
The Ecosoft RObust Mini removes harmful impurities, including nitrates and viruses, using reverse osmosis membranes. Its pre-filtration removes suspended particles such as rust, sand, and hemp strands before the water reaches the membranes.
-
How does the Ecosoft Robust Mini direct flow reverse osmosis system work?
The Ecosoft RObust Mini works as a multistage direct-flow reverse osmosis system. Feed water passes through pre-filtration, then a booster pump sends it to the membranes. Permeate passes through the CTO carbon post-filter to the outlet or tank connection, while concentrate is discharged to the drain. Low- and high-pressure switches control pump operation.
-
What recovery rates does the RObust Mini have?
The RObust Mini provides a recovery rate of 50%, offering sustainable water purification for cafés, offices, schools, and similar spaces.
Despite its standard compact size, it delivers consistent performance and is designed for continuous operation throughout the day.
-
Do you have any RO filters specifically designed for restaurants?
Yes, several of our reverse osmosis systems are well-suited for restaurants, cafés, and other HoReCa businesses. They are designed to deliver high water quality for kitchen equipment, cooking, dishwashing, and beverages — all while offering stable performance and easy operation.
RObust Mini is a compact and affordable direct flow RO filter ideal for small cafés, bars, and coffee shops. Despite its size, it delivers reliable water purification for applications like coffee machines, dishwashers, and food prep areas.
It’s a great entry-level solution for businesses that need quality water without compromising on space or budget.
-
Will water treatment improve food & beverage taste?
Definitely!
Even in smaller setups, water quality matters. The RObust Mini helps cafés and compact kitchens improve the taste of what they serve with every filtered drop.
-
Do I need to use a tank with your water purification systems in my restaurant?
While it’s not strictly necessary to use a tank when using our commercial water filtration system in your restaurant, we do recommend it for certain use cases: For example, using a tank for the water used by your coffee machine helps to average TDS levels in the water, which results in consistent coffee flavour.
We recommend installing a tank in all cases where our reverse osmosis filters are connected to additional devices.
-
Is the Ecosoft Robust Mini suitable for home or commercial use?
Yes. The Ecosoft RObust Mini is suitable for both home and light commercial use. Ecosoft describes it as an entry-level solution for small offices, coffee corners, household kitchens, cafés, petrol stations, schools, and stores.

What TDS is required for the inlet water?
The required TDS level of the inlet water depends on the filter model.
All our RObust reverse osmosis filters require a TDS level of 1,000 ppm or less except for RObust Coffee. For this one the required TDS is 150-500 ppm.
