10" High Pressure Sediment Filter, 1/2″

Product information

Ecosoft high pressure sediment filter, 1/2″ is designed for homes with unstable water pressure and high-pressure municipal water systems where standard filters may fail. It effectively removes sand, rust, clay, and other visible sediment, protecting plumbing and appliances from mechanical damage. The reinforced housing is tested under extreme conditions and built to withstand pressures of up to 30 bar, ensuring reliable and leak-free operation even in demanding environments.

By preventing abrasive particles from entering the water system, the filter helps extend the service life of washing machines, dishwashers, and other household appliances. Ecosoft high pressure sediment filter, 1/2″ provides long-term system protection, reduces maintenance costs, and ensures stable filtration performance under heavy-duty conditions.

FAQ

  • It is technically possible to install the housing outdoors if the ambient temperature stays within the system’s operating range (+5 to +50 °C).

However, we do not recommend outdoor installation for the following reasons:

    • Exposure to direct sunlight and open air can lead to microorganism growth inside the housing, especially if any organic matter is present. This can shorten the cartridge service life, reduce flow, and even pose a health risk.
    • Prolonged UV exposure can make the plastic brittle, potentially compromising the housing’s durability and performance.

For these reasons, we recommend installing the housing in a shaded, protected area, away from direct sunlight.

  • Yes, the housing is designed with standard dimensions, making it compatible with cartridges from other manufacturers.

However, for optimal performance and guaranteed quality, we recommend using original Ecosoft replacement cartridges.

The housing supports widely used configurations such as DOE and COE.

  • No, this filter is designed for purifying cold water only. The water temperature should not exceed 43 °C.

  • Standard filter housings are typically rated for pressures up to 6 bar. The reinforced High Pressure models are tested to withstand up to 30 bar, providing an extra safety margin against sudden pressure spikes and water hammer. This makes them a reliable choice for buildings with unstable pressure, high-rise installations, and older municipal water networks.

  • Not significantly.

The filter is designed for high flow capacity and optimized internal hydraulics. When the cartridge is replaced on time, you can expect clean water with no noticeable drop in pressure during normal operation.
