The integrated brine tank is designed for convenient everyday use and does not require frequent attention. Simply keep the salt level above the water level, ideally around two-thirds full. How often salt needs to be added depends on water hardness and daily consumption, but for most homes, checking the tank every 2 to 4 weeks is usually sufficient.

Important: Do not allow the salt to run out completely. Insufficient salt may interrupt the regeneration process and reduce the softening efficiency of the system.

FAQ

  • The Core is a compact water softener for tap water, designed to remove hardness that cause limescale in pipes and household appliances. It protects your home’s plumbing system and extends the life of equipment like washing machines, boilers, and dishwashers.

  • Yes. Softened water has reduced hardness, which improves comfort and equipment protection, but remains safe for drinking. It contains fewer calcium and magnesium ions, but no harmful substances are added or introduced.

  • Salt should always be maintained above the water level in the brine tank — ideally, it should fill about 2/3 of the tank volume. The exact frequency depends on your water hardness and daily water usage, but for a typical household, this means checking the salt level every 2–4 weeks and refilling as needed. Never let the salt run out completely, as this may interrupt the regeneration process and reduce softening performance.
