  • Why a Backwash Filter Is Essential?

Public water systems often introduce foreign particles into household lines due to construction, repairs, or aging infrastructure. Backwash filters remove these contaminants directly after the main water inlet – before they reach your home's plumbing.

    Benefits at a Glance:

✓ Protection against pipe blockages and corrosion
✓ Lower maintenance costs for household appliances
✓ Cleaner water for home, garden, and technical systems
    ✓ No cartridge replacement needed
    ✓ Durable and low-maintenance

  • How a Backwash Filter Works

Incoming water flows through a fine filter element (typically 90–100 microns). Dirt collects on the outside of the mesh. During backwashing, the flow is reversed – flushing out the debris via a valve without removing the filter element.

Features vary by model and may include:

    • Manual backwash function with control knob
    • Automatic backwash with time or pressure control
    • Transparent filter housing for visual inspection

Our Filter Range – Designed for Performance

We offer backwash filters in various sizes and configurations:

    • With or without pressure reducer
    • Manual or automatic cleaning
    • For single homes, multi-family homes, and commercial applications
    • Wall-mounted or direct connection
    • Optional filter mesh sizes from 90 μm to 25 μm

  • What does a backwash filter do?

A backwash filter removes mechanical impurities such as sand, rust, and sediment from your incoming water. It protects plumbing, valves, appliances, and fixtures from wear and clogging.

  • How often should I backwash the filter?

Depending on your water quality, every 2 to 4 weeks is typical. Transparent filter housings let you monitor dirt levels. Automatic systems clean themselves based on time or pressure settings.

  • Do I need to replace the filter element?

No – backwash filters are reusable. The filter element is cleaned by reversing the water flow, saving materials and reducing waste.

  • What size of home can use a backwash filter?

We offer models for single-family homes, multi-unit buildings, and light commercial use. The right filter depends on your pipe diameter and water flow rate.

  • Where is the filter installed?

It’s installed directly after the water meter, at the house inlet – in an accessible, frost-protected location. Many models are designed for wall mounting.

  • How does it differ from a standard water filter?

Standard filters (e.g. carbon or fine filters) need regular replacements. Backwash filters are more durable, economical, and eco-friendly since they’re cleaned and reused.
