Remove PFAS from your tap water – for clean water, free from forever chemicals
Our solutions
From the easy-entry Standard PRO to the high-end CROSS90with smart LED indicators – Ecosoft offers modern filtration systems that effectively remove PFAS from your drinking water. Ideal for kitchens in flats and houses – whether rented or owned.
WHAT ARE PFAS – AND WHY THEY SHOULDN'T BE IN YOUR DRINKING WATER
PFAS stands for Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances – a group of human-made substances used in industry for decades, e.g. in coatings, firefighting foam, or outdoor clothing. The issue? These chemicals hardly degrade and may accumulate in the body over time. They're suspected of having long-term health impacts.
There's an easy way to prevent PFAS entering your body though: water filtration systems like the ones from Ecosoft. They remove PFAS efficiently and let you enjoy your tap water with peace of mind. You’ll find more background info in our blog article on PFAS.

PFAS IN TAP WATER – WHEN DOES A FILTER MAKE SENSE?
Want to drink your tap water without hesitation and rely on genuine purity? Then an Ecosoft water filter is a smart move – especially if your household includes young children or pregnant people, or if you live in an area known for PFAS exposure. But even if you simply live health-consciously and want to enjoy safe, great-tasting water, it’s worth it.
Our systems don’t just remove PFAS – they also filter out iron, limescale, chlorine and more.
CROSS 90 reduced the Sum of PFAS-20 concentration from 23 ng/L to <2 ng/L.
(For reference, the EU Drinking Water Directive sets a limit of 100 ng/L for the Sum of PFAS-20 — a parameter representing the total concentration of 20 individual PFAS compounds. It is the main parameter used to assess PFAS levels in drinking water)
A result of <2 ng/L means that PFAS levels are below the detection limit of the method, indicating near-complete removal.

FAQ: Common questions about PFAS and Ecosoft filters
-
What exactly are PFAS?
PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are synthetic compounds known for their extreme stability – hence the name "forever chemicals". As they're used in countless everyday products, they often find their way into the environment – and into drinking water.
-
What else do Ecosoft systems filter?
Alongside PFAS, our filters also remove a wide range of other contaminants. This results in pure water that also tastes much better.
Apart from our solutions for your home, we also offer efficient, cost-effective solutions for industrial and commercial water treatment.
-
How does Ecosoft remove PFAS from water?
Our reverse osmosis systems are particularly effective in removing PFAS: the water passes through a multi-layer membrane that blocks even the tiniest molecules and only lets pure water through. The result is safe, clean water that's free from any chemical residues including PFAS.
-
Are essential minerals preserved?
Yes and no – reverse osmosis initially removes everything, including beneficial minerals. However, our PURE Balance models and the STANDARD PRO reintroduce calcium and magnesium after filtration. This gives you safe water that’s also mineral-balanced.
-
How often do I need to change the filter elements?
This depends on the model and how much water you use. The filter cartridges usually last for several months before needing replacement. Detailed guidance is provided in each product description. The CROSS 90 makes things extra easy with a smart LED indicator that tells you exactly when to change the filter.
-
Are Ecosoft filters suitable for rental flats?
Yes. Ecosoft systems are designed for easy use at home – including rental properties.
To enjoy filtered water conveniently, you’ll need either a 2-way kitchen tap or a separate drinking water faucet. Installing a separate faucet usually requires drilling a small hole in your sink or countertop.
Our recommendation: always check with the owner or property manager of your rental before installing such a system to make sure it’s allowed in your kitchen.
