Ecosoft 10″ filter housing, 3/4″ connection is a practical and reliable choice for domestic water filtration. It is designed to hold sediment or carbon filter cartridges that reduce visible impurities and improve the taste, smell, and overall quality of tap water. Most commonly used in apartments, private homes, and other personal filtration setups, this housing fits seamlessly into standard systems. The 10″ size and 3/4″ threaded connection ensure easy installation and wide compatibility.

Can the filter housing be installed outdoors?
It is technically possible to install the housing outdoors if the ambient temperature stays within the system’s operating range (+5 to +50 °C).
However, we do not recommend outdoor installation for the following reasons:
- Exposure to direct sunlight and open air can lead to microorganism growth inside the housing, especially if any organic matter is present. This can shorten the cartridge service life, reduce flow, and even pose a health risk.
- Prolonged UV exposure can make the plastic brittle, potentially compromising the housing’s durability and performance.
For these reasons, we recommend installing the housing in a shaded, protected area, away from direct sunlight.

Are cartridges from other manufacturers compatible with the housing?
Yes, the housing is designed with standard dimensions, making it compatible with cartridges from other manufacturers.
However, for optimal performance and guaranteed quality, we recommend using original Ecosoft replacement cartridges.
The housing supports widely used configurations such as DOE and COE.

Can this filter be used for hot water?
No, this filter is designed for purifying cold water only. The water temperature should not exceed 50 °C.

Why is PET a better material?
PET is a durable, lightweight material with excellent impact and chemical resistance, making it suitable for long-term use even in challenging conditions. Compared to SAN, it is tougher and more resilient. PET is also widely recyclable, which makes it a more eco-friendly choice.

Why is a 3-component filter better than a 2-component filter?
A 3-component filter offers better sealing thanks to the additional nut, which applies even pressure to the gasket and helps prevent leaks. It also simplifies installation and removal, making it easier to tighten or loosen without damaging the threads. The nut ensures even load distribution across the connection, reducing the risk of mechanical damage.
