Ecosoft Ecolite Ultrasoft strong acid cation exchange resin is a high-capacity gel-type resin in sodium form with uniform particle size for enhanced performance in commercial and industrial water treatment systems. It efficiently removes calcium and magnesium ions, reducing hardness and preventing scale formation in boilers, heating, and process equipment.

The resin’s uniform spherical beads ensure excellent hydraulic properties, fast regeneration, and consistent softening performance. Chemically, physically, and thermally stable, Ecolite Ultrasoft provides long service life and reliable operation even under demanding conditions.

What is the typical service life of Ecolite Ultrasoft?

Under normal operating conditions, the resin lasts about 3–5 years, depending on water quality and regeneration frequency.
How does Ecolite Ultrasoft differ from Ecolite Soft for water softening?

Ecolite Ultrasoft features uniform spherical beads that provide more consistent flow, lower pressure drop, and faster ion exchange kinetics compared to Ecolite Soft. This ensures higher efficiency and stable performance in compact or high-flow systems.
Can Ecolite Ultrasoft be used in high-flow or commercial systems?

Yes. Its uniform particle size allows stable performance in domestic, commercial, and industrial applications where low pressure drop and high flow rates are important.
Is pre-filtration required?

Yes. It is recommended to install a sediment pre-filter (20–100 µm) before the softener to prevent clogging and extend the resin’s service life.
Can Ecolite Ultrasoft be used for iron removal?

It is primarily designed for hardness removal. For water with high iron content, a specialized mixed-media ECOMIX® is recommended.
How can I know the volume capacity of Ecolite Ultrasoft in my system?

You can estimate it using the formula:
Volume Capacity (m³) = Ecolite Ultrasoft volume (L) × [Ion-exchange capacity (g CaCO₃/L) ÷ Influent hardness (ppm CaCO₃)],
where the ion-exchange capacity of Ecolite Soft is 60 g CaCO₃/L.

For example, if an Ecosoft 16×65 water softener is filled with 125 L of Ecolite Ultrasoft and the influent water hardness is 200 ppm CaCO₃, the treated water volume before regeneration will be 37.5 m³.
