Technical information
To ensure the Ecosoft PURE Balance filter operates at peak efficiency, regular replacement of filtration elements is essential. Proper maintenance guarantees high-quality purified water and extends the service life of your filter system.
The frequency of cartridge replacement depends on the quality of the incoming water, with a maximum service life of 2 years from the date of installation. The average cartridge replacement process takes about 30 minutes.
Set of replacement filters
This system is designed for use with tap water only.
If you plan not to use your filter for an extended period, it is recommended to shut off the water supply to prevent damage and maintain filter efficiency.
If the filter remains unused for a long time, it is also recommended to replace all filter cartridges before resuming operation.

What is the difference between Standard PRO and PURE filters?
Standard PRO and PURE are reverse osmosis filters designed to provide clean, safe, and great-tasting drinking water at home. While both deliver high-quality water, they differ in mineralization technology and performance.
Standard PRO is a classic RO system that reliably provides purified water for everyday use. These models offer basic mineralization at a level of 20–30 mg/L, making them a simple and effective solution for users looking for a safe and affordable home filtration system. The system uses an Ecosoft 50 GPD membrane, a standard pre-filter set, and fills the tank in about 90 minutes.
PURE filters are designed for those who want consistently delicious water enriched with calcium and magnesium. With advanced mineralization technology, PURE systems maintain a stable mineral content of 60–80 mg/L in every glass. They also feature a water-saving function that reduces wastewater by up to 20,000 L per year. Thanks to a more efficient 75 GPD membrane and improved pre-filters, the tank is filled in just 60 minutes.

How does the Ecosoft PURE Balance system work?
The Ecosoft PURE Balance system uses a six-stage process to transform tap water. It first strips 99.8% of contaminants through a reverse osmosis membrane, then uses patented AquaGreen technology to restore a specific balance of calcium and magnesium. This results is rprovides safe, mineralized water for the whole family
-
What contaminants does the Ecosoft PURE Balance filter remove?
The Ecosoft PURE Balance filter removes sediment, chlorine, organic compounds, dissolved salts, PFAS, as well as bacteria and viruses, improving water safety, taste, and overall drinking quality.
-
Is the Ecosoft PURE Balance suitable for home use?
The Ecosoft PURE Balance is perfect for home use because it is compact enough to fit under any kitchen sink. It provides safe, mineralized water for the whole family while protecting your kettle and coffee machine from limescale buildup
-
Does the Ecosoft PURE Balance improve the taste of water?
Yes, the Ecosoft PURE Balance significantly improves the taste by removing chlorine and metals while adding calcium and magnesium. This process eliminates chemical odors and creates the crisp, flavor of natural spring water.
-
Can the system reduce chlorine, heavy metals, and bacteria?
Yes, the filter reduces chlorine and effectively removes heavy metals, bacteria, and other microscopic contaminants due to the fine RO membrane filtration, ensuring safe water for daily use.
-
Will there be enough pressure if the RO filter is not installed under the sink?
For stable operation, the system requires water supply pressure of at least 3 bar. If the RO filter is installed in another room, such as a pantry, basement, or technical room, the distance and lifting height may slightly reduce the pressure.
If the inlet pressure is below 3 bar or the water needs to be supplied to a second floor, choose a model with a pump or install a pump separately. For a comfortable flow rate from the faucet, place the storage tank as close to the faucet as possible.
-
Can the RO filter be connected to a custom or non-standard faucet?
Yes. Most modern designer 3-in-1 faucets with hot, cold, and filtered water connections are compatible with standard reverse osmosis systems.
The RO system uses a standard 1/4″ tube connection. Many designer faucets already include an adaptor for a standard RO tube. If the adaptor is not included with the faucet, a standard fitting adaptor can be used, for example John Guest 1/4″ to 1/2″ or 3/8″ thread.
Make sure the faucet is designed specifically for drinking water and has a separate internal channel and outlet. This prevents purified water from mixing with tap water.
-
What is the power cable length?
The standard power adaptor cable length for systems with a pump is 1.0–1.1 m.
If the socket is located farther from the installation point, we recommend planning a nearby power socket in advance or using a high-quality extension cable.
-
What is the noise level of filters with a pump?
The booster pump usually operates within a noise range of 40–50 dB. This is comparable to a quiet conversation or a modern low-noise refrigerator.
Most noise does not come from the motor itself, but from vibration if the pump touches cabinet walls or rigid pipes. Using rubber dampers or anti-vibration feet can significantly reduce this noise.
We installed this filter because I always need clean drinking water for the kids and the cat. Tap water always has a slight chlorine smell, and, to be honest, you never really know exactly what’s coming out of those pipes.
We used to constantly haul those heavy 6-liter bottles of water home from the supermarket, but the water from this filter actually tastes even better.
We’re very happy with this choice- we no longer have to lift heavy plastic bottles, and there’s always plenty of water at home
