FAQ
-
What is the Ecosoft AQUABOX 150 A and what is its purpose?
The Ecosoft AQUABOX 150 A is a water vending machine designed to purify mains water to bottled-water quality, compliant with Directive 2020/2184/EU, and automatically dispense it into consumers' bottles.
It includes multiple purification stages: mechanical filtration, activated carbon filtration, reverse osmosis membrane separation, remineralisation, additional carbon filtration for taste improvement, and UV disinfection.
-
How does the machine purify the water?
Water purification involves several stages: mechanical filtration to remove suspended particles, activated carbon to eliminate chlorine, antiscalant to prevent scaling on membranes, high-pressure reverse osmosis to reduce salts, microorganisms, and bacteria, remineralisation to adjust mineral content, post-carbon filtration for improved taste and odour, and UV disinfection.
Purified water is stored in a pressure tank before dispensing.
-
What payment methods does the machine accept?
The standard configuration includes a QR code reader for contactless payments.
Optional features include a bill acceptor, coin acceptor, and POS terminal allowing payments by cash, coins, or card, depending on the installed options.
-
Is the water dispensed by the machine safe to drink?
Yes. The purified water meets bottled water standards under Directive 2020/2184/EU and Ukraine’s sanitary-epidemiological requirements (Report No. 602-123-20-1/3637).
It undergoes rigorous treatment — including filtration, membrane separation, remineralisation, and UV disinfection — to remove impurities, chlorine, salts, bacteria, and microorganisms.
-
How often do the filters and consumables need to be replaced?
Replacement intervals depend on usage and source water quality:
- Mechanical pre-filter: every 3 months or after 60 m³
- Carbon pre-filter: every 3 months or after 50–60 m³
- Antiscalant cartridge: after 40 m³
- Membrane elements: every 12 months or after 60 m³
- Remineralisation & post-carbon cartridges: every 3 months or after 40 m³
- UV lamp: every 6 years
It’s also recommended to monitor pressure drops and water quality monthly.
-
What are the requirements for installing the machine?
The machine should be installed indoors, in a ventilated area, with:
- Inlet water pressure: 1.5–4 bar
- Temperature: 15 ± 5 °C
- Water quality within set limits (e.g. TDS < 1,000 ppm, hardness < 500 ppm CaCO₃)
Required connections:
- ½" inlet and drain
- 230 VAC power supply (max. 0.6 kW)
- Access to a sewer line
Before operation, ensure proper installation, set up the controller, and verify input conditions. Professional setup is strongly recommended to avoid issues.
