Replacement schedule

  • Sediment filter cartridge – replace at least once every 3 months or after ~80 m³ of purified water
  • Activated carbon filter cartridge – replace at least once every 3 months or after ~60 m³ of purified water
  • Antiscalant cartridge – replace after ~40 m³ of purified water
  • Remineralization cartridge – replace every 3 months or after ~40 m³ of purified water
  • Carbon block postfilter – replace every 3 months or after ~40 m³ of purified water
  • RO membrane elements – typically every 4–6 months, but at least once every 12 months
  • UV LED lamp – replace once every 6 years

Monitoring and inspection

  • Check pressure drop across prefilters weekly
  • Monitor membrane performance and system parameters monthly
  • Check water quality indicators such as TDS, hardness, taste, and odor monthly
  • Inspect the storage tank, UV system, drain station, and payment modules regularly to ensure stable operation

FAQ

  • The Ecosoft AQUABOX 150 is a water vending machine designed to purify mains water to bottled-water quality, compliant with Directive 2020/2184/EU, and automatically dispense it into consumers' bottles.

It includes multiple purification stages: mechanical filtration, activated carbon filtration, reverse osmosis membrane separation, remineralisation, additional carbon filtration for taste improvement, and UV disinfection.

  • Water purification involves several stages: mechanical filtration to remove suspended particles, activated carbon to eliminate chlorine, antiscalant to prevent scaling on membranes, high-pressure reverse osmosis to reduce salts, microorganisms, and bacteria, remineralisation to adjust mineral content, post-carbon filtration for improved taste and odour, and UV disinfection.

Purified water is stored in a pressure tank before dispensing.

  • The standard configuration includes a QR code reader for contactless payments.

Optional features include a bill acceptor, coin acceptor, and POS terminal allowing payments by cash, coins, or card, depending on the installed options.

  • Yes. The purified water meets bottled water standards under Directive 2020/2184/EU and Ukraine’s sanitary-epidemiological requirements (Report No. 602-123-20-1/3637).

It undergoes rigorous treatment — including filtration, membrane separation, remineralisation, and UV disinfection — to remove impurities, chlorine, salts, bacteria, and microorganisms.

  • The machine should be installed indoors, in a ventilated area, with:

    • Inlet water pressure: 1.5–4 bar
    • Temperature: 15 ± 5 °C
    • Water quality within set limits (e.g. TDS < 1,000 ppm, hardness < 500 ppm CaCO₃)

    Required connections:

    • ½" inlet and drain
    • 230 VAC power supply (max. 0.6 kW)
    • Access to a sewer line

Before operation, ensure proper installation, set up the controller, and verify input conditions. Professional setup is strongly recommended to avoid issues.
